Everything you need to know before Banjulo launches.
General
What is Banjulo?
Banjulo is a Gambian super app that brings shopping, food, delivery and — over time — rides, stays, vehicles, jobs and services together in one place.
Is Banjulo available now?
Not yet. We're preparing for launch. Join the early-access list and we'll let you know the moment you can start.
How do I pay?
Payments are made with Wave. More ways to pay are coming soon.
Is my money safe?
Yes. When you pay, your money is held securely for 5 days after delivery before the seller is paid, so there's time to raise a problem.
Where do you deliver?
Across Greater Banjul, Western Region, North Bank, Upcountry. Delivery fees depend on your zone and are shown before you pay. Store pickup is free.
What currency are prices in?
All prices are in Gambian Dalasi (GMD).
Who sets discounts and free delivery?
Sellers do. Any offer you see on Banjulo comes from the seller, not from Banjulo.
Sellers
When do I pay commission?
Only when a transaction is successful. If there's no sale, there's no commission.
Is the delivery fee part of the commission?
No. The delivery fee is separate and is not included when commission is calculated.
When do I get paid?
Buyer payments are held for 5 days after delivery to protect both sides. After that, the money is released to you, minus commission.
Are there monthly fees or hidden charges?
No. You pay commission on successful transactions, as shown in the table above.
Can I use my own drivers?
Yes. You can invite your own drivers to deliver your orders — the commission rate is lower when you do.
Drivers
How do I become a Banjulo driver?
Drivers join through an invitation from a shop on Banjulo. Ask a seller you work with to invite you, then accept the invitation in the app.
Can I deliver for more than one shop?
Driver arrangements are agreed between you and the shops that invite you.
